I’ve been in a bit of a knitting slump these past couple weeks. Part of it is because life is a little crazy right now. Nothing bad – just normal life turning hectic. It’s wrestling season and 2 of my boys are wrestlers, which means getting people to practices, and going to watch meets and tournaments. Plus, it seems I always go into a small slump once the holidays are over. It’s not quite depression, but it’s a definite drop in the motivation level. So my solution to this little case of the blahs was to cast-on a couple of new things (how I wish my solution could be a mad desire to finish up some of my WIP’s, but it never seems to be). First up is a simple 1×1 rib skinny scarf, knit with 2 strands of Lamb’s Pride Worsted with 1 strand of white mohair:
There’s nothing better to cure the blahs than simple, straight-forward, mindless knitting.
Next is NHM # 1 from Selbuvotter:
This isn’t quite mindless knitting, but I chose a fairly simple design for my first Selbuvotter attempt. I’m just starting the charted part so we’ll see how it goes. I’m far from an expert when it comes to colorwork.
Thankfully, Project Spectrum starts soon, which always helps jump-start my knitting batteries.
